Statement

I base my work on concepts about technology, science, engineering, and urban planning from the past, present, and future. It is meant to have a social purpose: to motivate viewers to think about how to progress as a species; also, to remind the individual that through curiosity, ambition, cooperation, and a healthy dose of competition, history has and will be made.

My hope is to establish goals for a future more humane, more efficient, more productive, more beautiful, more sensible, and civilized in order to be able to accomplish our duty in the cosmos — to nurture, guard and spread life.

About Nico

I was born in Bogotá, Colombia, though Chicago is where I live and where I belong. I've been in this city for half of my life, and it has influenced me immensely. I work full-time as an artist, and I am constantly learning, developing my own language, refining my ideas and striving to better convey them through my work.
